Cake Pops

I decided to take a try at making Cake Pops
...so here is my first (maybe last) attempt.
I am pretty happy with the final product and how they photographed but they were soooo very time consuming that until I have extra free hours on my hands, I am thinking they may be my last batch for a while.

This little one was extremely happy with the final product!
but wasn't too happy when it "broke" (fell off)...
until she fixed it and all was right in her world or tummy!

Elmo Live!!

Over the past few months Alivia has turned into a true toddler.  She has become really attached to her babies, playing with her kitchen and baby bed/carrier, the guys (aka Mickey and friends), and most especially Elmo.  A Sesame Street episode with Elmo keeps her occupied for almost an hour (yea for mommy)!  SO, when I hear Elmo was coming to town (thanks Laura), I knew we had to add that to the Christmas list.  When Alivia was born Tom couldn't wait until she was old enough to go to a movie or to one of these types of shows.  We aren't sure how we got here so quickly but I think we were about as excited to take her as she was excited to be there!  As soon as we walked to our seats and Alivia saw the projected Elmo image, she was so EXCITED and the show hadn't started.  We had great seats 5 rows from the stage on the ground level on the aisle.  It was such as great time!  I can't wait to take her to something like this again!
Watching every minute!
 Waving to Elmo!
The characters made their way down the aisles so we got to see them up close and personal!
 "Look Mom!!  It's Will!"
Will and his parents sat across the way from us!  He LOVES Elmo too!
 We had a FANTASTIC time!

A New Old Fashioned Christmas

We are so excited to be part of the newly formed church Streams of Life.

(Quick back story)
After a series of events, we decided to leave the church that we had been attending for a number of years.  It was the church that we were married and Alivia was baptized so the decision to leave was extremely hard.  Ultimately we felt that we were being pulled from the church and later decided that God was releasing us from that church to be able to do His work with what turns out to be a new church plant.

So with this new church came a who new Christmas tradition.  We currently meet in a basement and have already outgrown that space on a normal Sunday so we knew we would need a different venue for Christmas.  We were blessed with a perfect little Church and Hall in Elk City, just a few minutes northwest of Elkhorn.  With this location we were able to have our first New Old Fashioned Christmas.  It was absolutely perfect!!  I had the privilege of helping lead the service and my niece Ayla and brother-in-law Darren took part as well!

Christmas came and went...

and as much as I LOVE to have my camera out, I don't have too many pictures to show from this season.  Instead of experiencing my family's holiday from behind the camera, I experienced it with them!
Here is what I did capture...

typical Santa picture for a 17 month old
a much better response with "Father Christmas" at daycare
 Alivia and the Kares kids
Alivia and her daycare boyfriends (aka partners in crime)
 Opening Santa gifts
modeling her hat and scarf from Gigi and Papa
loving on baby Matthew (she didn't want to stop holding him)
 watching Cars with Ethan
Celebrating a late Christmas with all her friends!!
