Kisor Wedding | Weekend Getaway

We had a great little family getaway to KC in August.  Our friend Jason (and best man at our wedding) got married and Tom was one of the groomsmen.  We headed down a little early to find some fun things to do!  After driving and walking around Loose Park we eventually found the splash pad we were searching for.  Alivia LOVED it!  So much so, she didn't wan to leave....surprise surprise.

The wedding was an evening wedding so while Tom was doing groomsman duties, Alivia and I met up with a couple friends.  We headed to Crown Center to go to Kaleidoscope.  It is the great place with TONS of activities for kiddos.  They have 40 min sessions that the kids can paint, make puzzles, make flags, color, experiment with different sounds, and much much more.  It was AWESOME! 

Then we got all dressed up and headed to celebrate with Jason and Courtney!  The wedding was beautiful and Alivia did a great job being "good" while I was flying solo.  I kept promising that if she was good we could dance the night away at the reception.  Alivia loves loves loves to dance so she was super excited at the thought of doing a lot of it!  And she did!  We had to tear her off the floor to go back to the hotel. 

She danced with Bella, the bride and flower girls, and pretty much anyone that would dance with her.  She would walk up to a random girl or woman, grab their hands and ask them to dance with her.  It was pretty cute...and a little nerve racking since many were not people we knew.  But she was having the time of her life so who were we to stop her fun! 

However, the cutest by far was Livi dancing with her Daddy!  MELT my heart!  For those of you that know Tom, he doesn't dance.  He actually kind of hates to dance.  

But even he couldn't say no to 

"Daddy, you dance with me?  Pease Daddy!"

And to end the night we capture "the boys".  

Tom has a similar picture from high school senior pictures and from our wedding so it was only fitting that they do it again!
